As long the donnola can find fresh food (chicken-brains) he will return because s/he have prabably a nest younsters to feed.
They are not afraid of "normal" cats or dogs because these are no natural ennemies of them. They are as a mixuture of mice/rats/fitch/fox at the same time but in a very tiny body that can pass almost everywhere.

They are only afraid of the presence of people (as most wild animals). So try to imitate the presence of people by playing a radio 24/24 and could also be a good idea to make light from time to time the nights connected to a timer.

Now the donnala knows the "free food-market" (your poultry animals) have always available acces, so I think you need a extra "eye-catcher" to bring to the attention of the donnola that it's finished the easy live. Record the cry of a sparrow-hawk and let it play at high level on a cassette-recorder you place in your poultry. This is the only way to make the donnola change his mind to come back !

So, no cruel mechanismes but simple and effective tricks. Good luck and keep us informed of the results, will you ?
