If you want to breed good blacks, than you have to breed:

- black X black;
- than comes selection;
- now you put up 2 lines:
-- one line father X daughter;
-- one line mother X son;
I know this is "in-breeding" but it is the only way to become better birds. This is called "line-breeding" and it only takes 50% of the genes each breeding but you can go forwards in improving.
- than comes patience.

The pure black fowls have the strange side effect to become more little in shape after a few generations (also when you not in-breed).
That is why I told you when you see they become more little in shape to bring in ONE time a grigioperla {this is black (E/E) but with the lavender alleles (lav/lav)}.

when you want to breed good blue:

- black X blue;
- than comes selection;
- now you put up 2 lines:
-- one line father X daughter;
-- one line mother X son;
Now you not have to worry about the shape becoming more little.
- than comes patience.
