This not means we can not make colour crosses!!

When we do colour crosses we must do it with well tought reasons.

There can be several reasons for this:
- we have only one bird in our stock of a certain colour;
- we want to create a "new" colour in our stock;
- we need to bring in our stock better parts (ex: darker crest colour);
- and there are other reasons ....

When we decide to do a colourcross we must do it with animals that we know the (genetic) past about, if not we must first do some test-breeding. (This to become a vieuw on the most principal locus of all: THE E-LOCUS) (E - ER - eWh - eb - e+ only these 5 and there combinations).
That is the only way to not become confrontated with (to much) UNwanted surprices!

Once started with the colourcross (to obtain a calculated result) we must follow the rules of genetics (they are not magic and not so very complicated). The best way to go on with the breeding is "linebreeding".
