Si ottengono colorazioni pure?....ho tentato col Calcolapolli con l'aiuto del Dott. Ing. Avv. Alberto Pifferi...pero' non ne siamo venuti fuori...verrebbe un 50% di esemplari neri e 50% marroni...ma la colorazione marrone esiste nelle Cocincina?..non mi sembra....chi mi sa aiutare? grazie [Modificato da Danny.79 16/09/2009 15:38] |

Ciao danny, colorazioni geneticamente pure non vengono fuori assolutamente. Se si tratta del nero dominante E, ne basta un solo allele (per quanto ne so io) e i pulcini nascono neri (quindi in questo caso nero per fulvo dà nero). |

Ciao,
non ho mai provato con le cocincine, ma a suo tempo, provai con le orpington, il risultato in f1, fu al 100% un miscuglio di reo e rosso. |

Ciao Francesco, nero con delle fiamme d'oro sul collo? Da me è nato un soggetto così dal mio gallo nero e la gallina blu, chi sa se perchè E con e+ o con eb + gene dell'oro risulta fenotipicamente così oppure per un altro motivo. |

io ho provato proprio con la cocincina nana e confermo ciò che ha detto francesco...non ho continuato in questo incrocio perchè credo che ci vorrebbero un sacco di anni per ottenere qualcosa di buono |

Only if we take in considerations these 4 genes at the same time we can start to look the other genes !
E-locus S-locus Ml-locus Mh-locus
Why is this so? Since there are only 2 color-pigments, Black (eumelanin) and Red (pheomelanin) as we can see in the original Bankiva fowl.
Black is determinate from the E-locus and on is best as E/E reinforced with Ml/Ml resulting in deep extended black with a green shine.
Red is determinate from the S-locus and on is best as s+/s+ reinforced with Mh/Mh resulting in a deep extended red with a violet shine.
When the Ml (Melanotic) Black enhancer and/or the Mh (Mahogany) Red reinforcer are in there original form (with a "+")
we never result in totaly Black and/or totaly Red phenotype colors. So that is the why when we ask ourselves :
"why I see restants of red on my Black birds" and/or "why there stay black in my Red birds".
