Danny, the wild type allele, e+ can be together not only with the wild type s+ allele but also with the mutated allele S, as the mutated alleles of e+ can be together with s+ and not only with S.

You can have incomplete gene with e+ in base for locus E like this S/s+
In fact you have 3 possibilities with e+/e+ for E and S.
e+/e+, s+/s+
e+/e+, S/s+
e+/e+, S/S
For hen it's différent S is sex link.

Sorry if I correct but S/s+ isn't an incomplete gene but it is heterozygosity.
