The gene "choc/choc" (for cocks) "choc/-" for hens, is as you can see sex-linked (the hen have only 1 allel) and the gene is recessive (not written with a Capital-letter).
This "cioccolato" is a dilutions of black-pigment.
Depending on what is the "ground-color" (= one of the possibillities of the E-locus) you can become different phenotypes.
example :
E/E choc/choc is a unicolore "cioccolato" cock (on a ground-color of unicolore black (E/E) it makes
no difference if based on gold or on Silver) for the phenotype.
eb/eb choc/- is a "cioccolato" Asiatic Partridge hen (on a ground-color of Asiatic Partridge (eb/eb) it makes a
big difference if based on gold or on Silver for the phenotype .
