-the gen lavender is the only red- and black-pigment deluting gene at the same time.
-when the ground-color of the chicken in question is pure "E/E" than only black (should) be visible in the phenotype, when that ground-color is unpure E/ER, E/eWh, E/eb, E/e+ than red-pigment can come to the surface, when the ground-color is ER/ER or eWh/eWh or eb/eb or e+/e+ than we not have an uni-color but a duo-color (red- and black-pigment).
-when you can see at the same time red- and black-pigment diluted by that gene lavender "lav/lav" than here the hobby-name "
isabella" is given to it ! (when also the gene Co/Co and mo/mo is present together with the diluting gene lav/lav than you Italians give it the hobby-name "
porcellane").
