there is no sense to be knots ;-)

D^V is a dominant gene (counter part single comb "d+") showing as impure being represented by the splitting the comb on ANY location.

This comb was discribed as a kind of look-a-like buttercup (looks like a combination between a single-comb/double-comb) done by impure crosses between D^V x d+ which leads to numerous phenotypes (read appearences).
