We try to specialize in the compartement of Silver (S/S), with all the combinations possible with this, but mostly on Silkies.
The intension is to try to create "new" colours in the Silkies.
One thing I learned over the years is: not mixe the black pigment (eumelanine) and the red pigment (pheomelanine), it give nothing but unnecessary troubles and this for years.
An other thing I had to constatate with shame was that it is as good as impossible to find PURE birds. The only way is to make them your selve over a few years.
So we must keep this as simple as possible + getting the basic genetic knowledge (with some effort) + make a lot of calculations in front and than we can come a long way.
