Ciao Bantam,
goh, I think my knowledge is limitated to a little chicken colour genetics and to one race "Silkies". I am concentrating on the outside colours (I mean NOT recognized colours in Silkies) I not do exhibitions with recognized colours only presentations of "new" colours.
So I am not sure if I am the best placed person for this job!
Maybe when you tell me more about the context and needed skills.
Ciao Danny
Hello Danny,
I think you're doing very well and that the genetic language applies to all races, moreover when it comes to create new colors it often call on other races to make the necessary genes are present or not found in the race! such as red silkie!
I try to keep it simple and ensure that every farmer regardless of race looks at races more or less neglected in order to preserve the genetic heritage poultry!
I like silkie but all races are interesting and deserve that we look at them!
I do not know of any community on the web or all nationalities and all races reign supreme!
Many books, papers have been written about the silkie, bantam pékin Marans but there are other races really interesting ... before coming here, for example, I did not know Sicilia!
And then we must remain cool, it's not a job but a pleasure!
