Begin of the '70 there where only a few Moroseta breeders in Holland, only in the colors bianca and nera. With 3 people they started the official Moroseta-club in Holland. Because Moroseta's are very difficult chickens to show there where several people who breeded them only for 3-4 years. After 10 years the club had about 30 members, NO own show, they showed Moroseta's in general shows. They had only a club-day meeting and 4 newsletters a year. An other 10 years later there began to come better animals for showing but still with many errors and problems with "skin-color", "toes-position" ... because of the breeded in other races. Now they had 5 recognized colorations bianca, nera, selvatica oro, selvatica argento and fulva. Some started with blu and there was also the start of the "bantams". Begin '80 was pretended that the Sparviero never could be recognized because of his "light-skin". In the following years the number of members growed until 70, there became a club-magazine and they did there first OWN "young-animal-show". Now 2010 , after 40 years, the Holland SIlkieclub have 160 memebers, 10 recognized colorations (also Sparviero) a beautiful club-magazine, an interresting-internet site, a promotion-box, A yearly young-animal-showday and an own club-show where there members present a lot of good quality Silkies in different recognized colors as well in big as in bantam.
When they have members that created a "new color" in the race the presentation go via the "special club of Moroseta" that present it to the national bond where after presenting a number of good and simular representing (2 old cocks and hens and 2 young cocks and hens) animals on an International show (about always Zuidlaren) they are RECOGNIZED without problem. Last year they did this for the Red Silkie and again with succes.
