Ciao Morfeus, yes also this is something that happens to young chicks (+-1 week old). What you can do is, but act quickly, use rainwater that you first cook. After it is cold again you put 1 soup spoon of apple vinager in 1/2 litre water and supply this to your chicks.

Apples are among the most health-giving fruits available to us. They contain a host of beneficial vitamins and minerals, such as phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, and many trace elements as well. And, they are the central ingredient in apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar contains a potent supply of potassium which researchers feel is helpful in easing the effects of common colds and allergies, including mucous formation, watery eyes, sinus and catarrhal problems. Cider vinegar has been found to neutralize many harmfull bacteria, it seems to prevent diarrhea or digestive upsets.

Morfeus, did you try the water + apple vinager ? How are the chicks doing?
Morfeus, avete provato l'acqua + vinager della mela? Come i pulcini stanno facendo?

Aha, an alternative is you use water from a bottle and you press apples for the juice, mix the 2 and give them this to drink.
Also the yoghurt mixed with the chicks flour is an alternative.
When they are a little older (2 à 3 weeks) you can give them a piece of an apple.
    Try it.
