E poi un altra domanda, ma il fatto che uno sia più scuro dell'altro incide sulla loro riproduzione e quindi sulle femmine da poter metterci insieme?

The phenotype coloration "Splash" intend this animal have 2 alleles of the black-pigment diluting gene Blue "Bl/Bl". (which give a double effect by accumulation).
A phenotype coloration "Blue" intend the animal have only 1 allel of the black-pigment diluting gene Blue "Bl/bl+".
the coloration "Blue" is an intermediar coloration this intend the phenotypical expression can go from very "dark blue" (almost Black) to very "light blue" (almost Splash) this depend on the working of the transport of pigment in to the feather.
2 dark blue chickens can produce very light blue chicks as also 2 very light blue chickens can produce very dark blue chicks.
So, the same effect is producing in the phenotype coloration "Splash".
All depends on the transportation of the pigment in the individual feather (in one and the same chicken can be places with good transportation of pigment and other places with less good transportation of pigment) as you can see in the tailfeathers of the second Splash cock.

So in the coloration Blue or Splash all comes to selection (as in most colorations).

PS avoid at all prices in all colorations with ground-color "E/E" "delle fiamme oro sulla mantellina" !!!!

"E/E" colorations are Nera, Blu, Splash, Grigioperla, Sparviero, Bianca pezzata Nera, Perniciata Argento, white ...
