Only a detail but what you mentioned as "salmon red" on the chest of the cocks, you must look good in detail comparison cock and hen next to eachother , than you should she it is not the same as on the chest of the hen, this because "salmon red" is only on the chests of hens (e+/e+ = selvatica) that on the chests of the cocks is diluted red-pigment.
