Spalsh is a black-pigment diluter in double doses (Bl/Bl) means about all black-pigment is diluted to a kind of "dirty" white, the red-pigment stay unchanged.
All depends if you start diluting form a unicolor (as on the photo of Carlo) or if you start diluting from a duocolor (as the photo I posted).
