...quindi...fulvo x fulvo e rosso x rosso !
mentre bianco,nero,blu' e grigio perla...si possono incrociare tra di loro ?
grazie
Not exactely, when you want to understand you need just a little genetica.
What I write as symboles are just the shortletters of "English" words.
What I write as "code" is the code of a "good" = pure = homozygote chicken,
What I write are colorgenes (ex. "EWh/EWh" each gene contain 2 alleles) the best is that they are identical = homozygote.
Fulvo = EWh/Ewh Co/Co Mh/Mh Di/Di Id/Id
Rosso = EWh/EWh Co/Co Mh/Mh Id/Id
You can see at the "code" these 2 colors are related to eachother. (the rosso only fails the "Di/Di")
Nero = E/E bl+/bl+
Blu = E/E Bl/bl+
Splash = E/E Bl/Bl
You can see at the "code" these 3 colors are related to eachother.
(only change is in the "Bl" or "bl+")
Grigioperla = E/E lav/lav
You can see in the "code" it is related "partly" to the Nero, less to the Blu and more less to the Splash.
The thing to do is breeding animals that are in their "code" as simular as possible to eachother to become identical chickens.
The more they have differences in their "code" the more new "codes" will be made = more different genetic chickens will be the product!!!
