I not agree Rachele but I not want to go in a discussion about this because in a few weeks it will show itself what it will become.
As I said I think this chick is a female because I can see a black line directely after the eye (which is typical for female perniciata chicks).
The point is the chick IS perniciata here can not be discussion about (as I wrote before the parents could have been anything but both of them must have had at least 1 allel of "eb".
Now that Silvia showed the parents we see the mother is white, normaly white silkies are "c/c" on groundcolor "eb/eb" and based on gold (in the case of a hen s+/-). So she can't give the gold to her daughters (because of the being sex-linked of the S-gene).
The father Silvia showed us, a black with Silver in the neck and on the wingbows is as good as sure on a groundcolor "E/eb" and most probely based on S/s+ (because of not totely pure Silverwhite in the neck).
So when you make the calculation of this cross you become :
E/eb S/s+ X eb/eb s+/- c/c and you become +- 50% E/eb (unpure Black) on S/s+ or s+/s+ (cocks) and S/- or s+/- (hens) all carrier of 1 allel white C+/c and you become +- 50% eb/eb (pure perniciata) on S/s+ or s+/s+ (cocks) and S/- or s+/- (hens) all carrier of 1 allel white C+/c.
This only show us what can be the case with the ingredients we can presume, but I am sure others where present.
Just remark on the second photo Silvia posted of the chick, you can see a golden glow on the chest of the chick, when you see this you can be about sure she is based on gold (even the rest look about white), if she had being based on Silver than you would have seen on that place a more "grayish" glow as you can see on the photo of the perniciata chick of Rachele (which is typical for Silver chicks).

As I said, I not want to go in a deep discussion about this because of several reasons, for one the parents are not "pure" and we know nothing about the grandparents ... , for two the colorgenetics are nothing but mathematic theories ;-) (but they can give us a hand in predicting and calculating offsprings).
